Strategy first. Always.

Meet Sam Castro — Founder of ROC Local Marketing

With over 13 years of experience packed into just 28 years of life, Sam Castro has been living and breathing marketing since she was a teenager. Her first “client” came at 15—during a prom dress fitting—when she casually mentioned how social media was about to change the game for small businesses. That conversation turned into a real campaign, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Sam went on to build and sell a successful cleaning business by 23, run campaigns for nonprofits and corporations, lead accounts at both boutique and big-name agencies, and help grow her and her husband’s boxing gym from 70 to 140+ members in just one year.

Her biggest takeaway from it all? Good marketing isn’t about how pretty it looks—it’s about whether it works. In a world overflowing with polished content that doesn’t convert, Sam’s approach is all about results. She wants sales, not likes. Conversions, not just clicks.

That mindset is what sparked ROC Local—a marketing agency built for small businesses, by someone who’s been in their shoes. Sam knows how easy it is for agencies to overlook the little guys in favor of “bigger” clients. But not here. ROC Local was made for the self-starters, the family-run shops, the grinders with big dreams and tight budgets.

No fluff. No ego. Just strategy that moves the needle.

That’s who we’re here for. That’s who we ROC with.
